Thanksgiving Leftover Turkey & Avocado Sammy for Sober Nutrition

Turkey breast is low in fat and avocado is full of healthy ones, the monounsaturated kind that are good for the heart. Avocados also deliver folic acid, a nutrient that may need replenishing in recovery.


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices whole grain bread

  • 1 tbsp cranberry sauce

  • 1 tbsp mayo (homemade or Primal Kitchen)

  • 4 oz sliced turkey breast

  • 1/2 avocado

  • S&P

METHOD

  • Toast bread & spread one slice with cranberry sauce & other with mayo.

  • Arrange your turkey on the side with the cranberry sauce & top with avocado.

  • Season with S&P

  • Close sammy, slice in half & Enjoy!

VARIATION

You can also add lettuce or sliced pears for a gourmet style sammy with a crunch.
